Transition Pieces You Need This Fall

Shop The Post:

Happy Tuesday, friends! This morning I woke up to beautiful weather in Houston and it made me think of how excited I am to finally start wearing sweaters again! This ruffle cold shoulder pullover is the perfect transition piece from summer to fall. This pullover is part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and is only $31.90! It comes in three different colors and is still available in most sizes. The best part about this pullover is that it’s super lightweight! It also runs true to size however I’m typically an XS but I’m wearing the XXS. Both sizes fit great! With fall coming up I needed to stock up on some cute but comfortable booties! Since I have a two year old I’m always on the hunt for shoes that will allow me to keep up with my active toddler. (You moms know how that is right?) When I tried on these TOMS I was shocked at how comfortable they were. These make the perfect summer to fall transition piece because of the peep toe and the tiny marquis-shaped perforations! They come in a range of colors but I’m wearing the color “natural”. It’s definitely the perfect neutral that will match with anything in your fall closet. These booties are also part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for $72.90 and are still available in most sizes. One of the things I love about TOMS is that with every pair you purchase TOMS gives a new pair of shoes to a child in need. Not only are you going to look stylish but you’ll feel good knowing you helped a child in need!
I wanted to take a moment in this post to talk about something I’ve never really talked about with anyone. I feel like if I share this information it might help other aspiring fashion/lifestyle bloggers overcome their fears. For as long as I can remember I’ve suffered from anxiety. As a child I remember fearing for the lives of those I loved almost every day. I would walk around the house and pick up things off the floor incase someone didn’t see it and ended up hurting themselves by slipping on it. As I grew up I start developing more fears such as being criticized by other people and having to speak to people I didn’t know. You’re probably thinking then why in the world would you want to be a fashion blogger?! Fashion has always been a form of expression for me and an outlet. When I started my blog I was extremely fearful of what people would think of it so I didn’t advertise it as much. For two years I worked on my blog a handful of times. Then finally one day I decided that if I was going to do this I needed to put my entire heart into it and I needed to be open with my readers. I made a pact with myself to be dedicated to my blog and to hopefully help other people along the way.  As of today I’m happy to report that my anxiety is not as bad as it used to be. However, it’s still something I deal with daily. When my husband and I take pictures for Styled in Sequins I’m constantly looking over my shoulder fearful that someone could be watching me. Even if there is no one around just seeing a car pass by will cause my heart to beat overtime and will make me feel completely uncomfortable. I don’t know if I’ll ever be completely over my anxiety but I’m slowly getting more comfortable. I just wanted to let other people that may be feeling this way know that they are not alone. If you guys want to hear more about this topic and different tips I’ve used to overcome it let me know! I can do an entire post on it or a snapchat Q&A.

Thank you for your honesty about the anxiety you've experienced. I can definitely relate as I've also suffered from really bad anxiety. I think its so important to talk about this topic, because its very real. I love that you mentioned fashion and blogging helping you ease that anxiety, I so agree! Anyways, I am loving this look, and I'm so obsessed with your booties! I think I have some shopping to do!

Thank you Talie!! I'll definitely be touching on the subject more! I didn't notice how many other bloggers actually have anxiety. I love that we can all support each other and that we aren't alone in this!
