Happy Sunday, friends! Today on the blog I’m excited to talk about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, answer some of your questions, and share some sneak peeks of the sale!
What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a huge sale that happens once a year. It’s when Nordstrom releases brand new items for Fall at discounted prices. Tons of designers will be part of the sale and have exclusive products out including Tory Burch, Kate Spade, etc. This is THE sale to stock up on all your fall items and get some designer pieces you’ve been eyeing all year!
Why is it such a big deal?
Every year bloggers, such as myself, stress about how big of a deal the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is because it’s seriously one of the best sales of the year! I save up months prior for this sale and plan for the sale well in advance. Unlike most sales these items are brand-new! All prices go back up after August 5th! It might seem weird to shop for fall pieces in the summer but I promise you’ll want to stock up on all the discounted items instead of waiting full price later in the year for them.
When can I shop the sale?
When Nordstrom says the card is the key they aren’t lying! Icon & Ambassador cardholders will be able to pre-shop the sale July 11th. All cardholders will be able to shop the sale in-stores and online July 12-18th at 12:30 PM ET. Public access for those that do not have a Nordstrom credit card or debit card can shop the sale July 19-August 4th. Prices go up August 5th.

What items should I stock up on?
During the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale I always stock up on my Fall basics, designer boots, designer jeans, loungewear and gifts for Christmas. Items sell out fast so if you see something you want I recommend buying it! It’s that sell out are typically restocked throughout the sale I will be keeping updates on restocked items here. Some items will go faster than others. Barefoot Dreams cardigans always sell out super fast. I’ll be snagging one for myself!
Should I have a plan for shopping the sale?
I would suggest having a plan to shop the sale. Last year I tried to shop the sale online and pick up in stores which was a terrible idea. Most of the items that were in-stock in store sold out before my order was ready for pick up. This time around I’ll be shopping the sale in-store and making the remaining purchases online. I do recommend knowing your sizes! If you want a pair of Paige jeans I would go into Nordstrom some time this week and try on the jeans so you know exactly what size you’ll need. I also recommend going through the Nordstrom Catalog to get an idea of what items will be on sale. You can check out the full catalog here!
